Many of us are left dreaming of warmer climes at this stage in winter. If heading south isn’t on the agenda, the next best thing is to embrace winter with plenty of warmth and coziness, and tonight’s French Bistro-inspired meal does just that. Come out and enjoy making the meal with us, or take it a step further and recreate it for a group at home. Suggested accompaniments: great vino and a roaring fire. On the menu:

Duck cassoulet with great northern beans, double smoked duck breast, duck confit and Toulouse sausage

Steak Diane with mushroom shallot sauce, duck fat fondant potatoes and roasted heirloom carrots

Crêpes Suzette with vanilla pastry cream, orange kirsch sauce and preserved cherries
