It’s the heart of winter, but we’re craving the grill. Time to pull out the grill pan and make satays! Tonight’s menu features two kinds of satays, with dipping sauces, with salads and accompaniments. To start, Chef Tara will serve an Asian cabbage salad with chili and peanuts. The class will then divide into two groups. One group will prepare pork satays with orange-chili dipping sauce, and Singapore-style pineapple and vegetable salad. Another group will prepare lamb satay with sweet soy dipping sauce, and fried jasmine rice with Chinese sausage. We’ll serve our feast family-style and end with a classic Asian dessert of sticky rice with mango. This menu contains pork, soy, and fish (fish sauce).
