Imagine the heady aromas of cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and cumin, pepper, simmered into a rich curry. Imagine the bright flavours of lime and chili, and the soft, chewy texture of home-made flatbreads. In this evening’s class, we’ll enjoy these flavours, aromas and textures of Sri Lanka as we prepare some of chef Tara’s favourite new south Asian dishes. Guests will prepare a chicken curry (made with chef’s roasted curry powder), fresh flatbreads with coconut (pol roti), and a fresh carrot-lime condiment (sambol). For starters, we’ll serve chef’s vegetable curry puffs with red onion chutney to start, and we’ll end the evening with an Urban Element dessert inspired by the evening’s theme.
