July 28: Caribbean Flavours

Love grilling but don’t have a barbecue?  Want to bring some new flavours and textures to your grilling repertoire?  Tonight’s menu melds Indo-Caribbean flavours with grilling techniques to amp up your summer dinners.  We’ll start with an eggplant and pomegranate salad with crispy flatbreads (prepared by Chef Tara), and then go into the kitchen to prepare a chili-rubbed flank steak and grilled plantains, which we’ll pair with a fresh mango chutney. For dessert, we’ll serve an Urban Element sweet inspired by the evening’s menu. Dietary considerations: this menu contains beef and gluten. The dessert may contain dairy and egg.
