Additionally, they offer nutritional education and cooking classes, fostering both physical and mental well-being.
The Winter Challenge
As we face the winter months, the challenge of food insecurity intensifies. This time of year, especially, sees a surge in demand for food assistance. The statistics are heartbreaking – nearly three-quarters of individuals assisted by the Parkdale Food Centre report skipping meals for a whole day due to financial constraints.
Our Initiative: A Call to Action
We know our clients are incredibly generous and community-minded. This month, we are dedicating our efforts to amplify the mission of Parkdale Food Centre. We aim to raise both awareness and funds to support their critical work.
Here’s how we’re making a difference: For the entire month of December, urban element will donate $25 for every corporate lunch order we receive. Moreover, for orders over $150, we will double our donation to $50.
