Tonight’s class will feature a fusion southeast Asian influences in a sophisticated menu prepared by the guests and chef.  To start, Chef Tara will serve her chicken nam prik, a spicy Thai chicken dip with lettuce leaves and sticky rice.  Guests will then go into the kitchen to prepare a Massaman curry paste which will garnish their steamed pickerel in banana leaves, and a sweet, spicy southeast Asian salad known as rojak, with a tamarind vinaigrette. We’ll serve this with chef’s coconut rice.  For dessert, guests will enjoy an urban element sweet treat inspired by the flavours of southeast Asia.

 

Dietary considerations: the menu contains seafood (shrimp paste, fish sauce, fish) gluten, and peanuts.  In addition, the dessert may contain egg and dairy.
