February 9: Vegetarian Date Night

We’re bringing back the much-loved date night theme to urban element’s cooking classes with an elegant vegetarian menu that makes the most of seasonal produce and comforting flavours and textures.  Chef Tara will serve her creamy gingered squash soup to start the evening, and guests will go into the kitchen to prepare mushroom-pecan-phyllo parcels with marsala cream sauce; and a beet, fennel and apple salad with goat cheese and a maple-cider vinaigrette.  We’ll serve our main course with chef’s buttermilk potato parsnip puree.  The evening will end with a sweet treat prepared by urban element’s pastry team.  Dietary considerations: this menu contains gluten, nuts, dairy, wine.  The dessert may contain egg, nuts, gluten, or dairy.
